Meet me.

Til next year kids.

One, Two, Three.

One, two, three.

New Years (almost) Eve.

New Years is almost upon us & I was just too darn excited to wait to post this. I spent the late afternoon creating you & by dinner time you were born. Nothing like a bit of sparkle like diamond in the sky for a NYE party.

Let the countdown begin!

Images collected from recently discovered & now in love with blog.

Christmas Day.

I know I have done the Christmas post thing to death.
But just one more.
What I wore on Christmas day when I was expecting a hot summers day but was instead greeted with a cold rainy day.

A vintage find, a dress of red & blue & berries, a bow and some suede seemed fitting.

Twas the night before Christmas Pt 3. (Miracle on 34th Street).

And there is still so much to fall in love with. Little Susan's smock dresses, crochet & lace trimmed  Plaid winter coats. Peter pan collars. Curls & ribbons & waves & barrettes.
This is what it should mean to dress like a kid.

Full to the brim.

I like jam

I like jam.
Oh the things I could store in a jam jar.

'Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold.'

'Twas the night before Christmas Pt 2.

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse...

When out on the lawn there arouse such a clatter,
I spray from the bed to see what was the matter...

With a little old driver so lively & quick, I knew in a moment it must be Saint Nick...

"Now, Dasher! Now Dancer, now Prancer, and Vixen!
On, Comet! On Cupid, on Donder and Blitzen!"

And then, in a twinking I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.

As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!...

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,

Dear clutch.

Dear clutch,

You are a little bit garish but there is something about your red velvet and your oversized sequins and your gold tassle that gets me going inside. It seems that your obviousness is your charm and I am bedazzled.

So still.

Absolute stillness.

Summer fling.

I dream of
High waisted denim, forbidden romances,
a summer kiss,
pastels & florals & denim & high cut one-pieces,
a milk bar, a diner, a beach club,
a ride in a Mustang,
a ride in a top down Porsche.

love lust

I've been dreaming of a...(Pt. 2)

Early Happy Birthday to me!
A Benah bag which has been lusted after muchly & a liquid silk Sara Phillips playsuit (thank god for sample sales!). The problem with Benah is, that once I've started I'm finding it hard to stop.
Whether to go back tomorrow or not?

Wanderings of the tumbler kind.

I have just started a tumbler.
Wanderings and wonderings of the tumbler kind are happening

Summer Mix.

There are certain songs that will forever remind me of Summer.
They may leave me with a slight sting as I remember times gone past, the sting as fresh as that of a newly worn sunburn, but I always make my way back to them whenever the cicadas start to hum and the air has that waft of jasmine.

Italy 3. Amalfi Coast

As the Summer weather starts to take hold it's hard not to think about the Summer that was had only a few months ago on the other side of the world. Food, water, and sun from the Amalfi Coast.
