New York dreamin'

Now dreamin' of a new place to add to my adventures;
road trippin' Wild West dream please say hi to the new New York City dream. I'm dreaming Dan Humphrey's loft with Rupert Humphrey's waffles, snow lined sidewalks, Carrie Bradshaw's apartment, coffee shop after coffee shop, thick winter coats, bagels & hotdogs,
 movement, sound, lights.

California & the West Dreamin'.

At age 20, Edward Weston, a struggling photographer, moved from Illinois to Southern California, beckoned by his sister, May Seaman.
''This is the place for you without an atom of a doubt,'' she wrote. ''Every year you spend back East is so much loss to you.

This is the country you have been longing for.''

Oh how I hear you.
To my Western dream.

Dear clutch.

Dear clutch,

You are a little bit garish but there is something about your red velvet and your oversized sequins and your gold tassle that gets me going inside. It seems that your obviousness is your charm and I am bedazzled.

Sincerly,

'Twas the night before Christmas (I'm dreaming of a white christmas)

Summer Mix.

There are certain songs that will forever remind me of Summer.
They may leave me with a slight sting as I remember times gone past, the sting as fresh as that of a newly worn sunburn, but I always make my way back to them whenever the cicadas start to hum and the air has that waft of jasmine.

Red or black?
To buy or not to buy?

Amsterdam 2.

Taking a wander down memory lane, trawling through my photos from exchange in the Netherlands & I rediscovered my third trip to Amsterdam. Smelling the roses at Keukenhof, wandering down laneways in search of a teashop, rummaging around Waterlooplein Markets, eating pancakes galore, drinking hot tea from a glass.
The city is in abundance of little hidy holes to discover & I never did quite explore as much as I desired too. I keep thinking of all the vintage stores left untouched...

Line Sander Johansen.

line sander johansen scrap work pieces

There is something so intriguing and beautiful about morsels of delicate fabric held together by the fine line of thread, which is of course stitched by hand.

Continuing on with my love for cloth scraps, thread and stitch I'm quickly falling in love with Line Sander Johansen's work.
